What is Cholaca's average dosage rate?
Liquid Cacao dosage is .5 - 1 gallon/bbl depending on how flavor forward you want your chocolate to be.
When is Cholaca added in the brewing process?
Cholaca is added post fermentation and prior to the crash. Circulate well before crashing beer
Are there any ingredients that bother the cacao or coconut?
It has been reported that Liquid Coconut will cover your hops if you dry hop at the sample time. Dry hop first then add Liquid Coconut.

There is some debate whether cherry puree affects the fat in the Liquid Cacao. Keep an eye on it!

Does Cholaca need to be refrigerated?
No! Cholaca products are all packaged in a shelf-stable bag-in-box. The product can be shipped and stored at room temperature.

Once opened, if you don’t use all the contents, the product will need to be refrigerated.

What if I find that the product has separated or thickened up, is that normal?
Yes! Simply put the bag into a hot bath for about a minute. It will thin right out.
The 32oz bladders can even go into the microwave for a minute or two.
What is the shelf life on Cholaca?
Cholaca’s shelf life is 18 months from the date of production. Once the container has been opened, it should be refrigerated and used within 30 days.
How much will a 32 oz sample of Cholaca make?

The 32oz bladder is good for 7-10 gallons of beer.

Is there a dosage conversion rate from cacao nibs to Cholaca?

Because Cholaca is typically added into the secondary process, comparing nibs to Cholaca is a bit of an apples to oranges comparison. Nibs are being added at different rates depending on whether it’s added to mash, boil, or ferment.

You can compare what you previously used to any finished batch. So, if you have a 10bbl beer run, you would use between 5-10 gallons of Cholaca depending on how chocolatey you want the beer to be.

Do you ship product internationally?

Yes!
